SACA Congress, Term IX
On May 22, in Ho Chi Minh City, the Ho Chi Minh City Association of Construction and Building Materials held the 9th Congress of Delegates (2025 - 2030) with many strong commitments and efforts to create sustainable values to accompany the development of the construction industry.
SACA Association was established on May 18, 1991, is one of the oldest and most dynamic professional social organizations in Ho Chi Minh City, under the industry management of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Construction, operating under Decision No. 202 dated June 22, 1991 of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee.
After more than 34 years of establishment and development, SACA Association is considered an organization that brings together leading domestic enterprises and world-famous brands in the field of construction and building materials. To date, the Association has nearly 500 official members, nearly 300 members of the Ho Chi Minh City Door Industry Association - SADOOR and nearly 100 members of the Ho Chi Minh City Construction Wood Industry Association - SAWA.
In the 8th term, the Association organized an apparatus with 8 professional committees, operating effectively to create special programs such as: SACA Connect, visiting members, Business Day - SBD program, VIBE Exhibition, Cultural - Sports programs, ...
For more than three decades of formation and development, SACA Association with the mission of being a solid bridge between knowledge and practice has continuously spread practical values, promoted sustainable cooperation and created a cohesive and developing business community.
The 9th SACA Congress is not only a milestone to look back on the past journey with many proud achievements, but also an opportunity to orient strategic development for the new period. Accordingly, the plan to expand to other industries has been approved, in order to create close links, promote cooperation and business in the context of strong development of science and technology and the digital economy.
The Congress elected an Executive Committee of 62 members; a Standing Committee of 19 members, of which Mr. Dinh Hong Ky - Chairman of the Board of Directors of Secoin Joint Stock Company was elected as Chairman of the SACA Association, 9 members and 9 Vice Chairmen including: Mr. Nguyen Duc Hoang - Chairman of the Board of Directors of Dong Nai Brick and Tile Joint Stock Company; Mr. Le Huu Viet Duc - Chairman of the Southern region of the Vietnam Association of Construction Contractors; Mr. Doan Huu Thuan - Chairman of the Construction Association of Ba Ria - Vung Tau Province; Mr. Phan Huu Duy Quoc - Chairman of the Board of Directors of Construction Corporation - Joint Stock Company (CC1); Mr. Vo Minh Duc - Vice President of Vietnam Association of Building Materials; Mr. Nguyen Hung Cuong - Chairman of the Board of Directors of DIC Group; Mr. Tran Quoc Viet - Chairman of the Board of Directors of Cat Tuong Real Estate Group Joint Stock Company; Mr. Le Viet Hieu - Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Hoa Binh Construction Group Joint Stock Company; Mr. Ngo Hoai Duc - Director of Koshi Company Limited.
Speaking at the launching ceremony of the new Executive Committee, Mr. Dinh Hong Ky shared: "I am extremely honored and grateful for the trust of all SACA members. This responsibility is a source of pride and motivation for me and the 9th term Executive Committee to make even greater efforts. With the slogan 'Strong connection - Building the future', we are committed to bringing SACA into a new stage of development, more dynamic, more integrated and best promoting the role of connecting members, promoting the sustainable development of the construction and building materials industry."
Within the framework of the Congress, SACA elected the Executive Committee for the 9th term with the participation of many prominent representatives of key areas in the construction industry. Notably, Mr. Hirahara Naoyuki, Director of Okasan Livic Vietnam Co., Ltd., was elected to the Executive Committee of SACA for the 9th term.
The fact that Mr. Hirahara - a Japanese expert and a pioneering business leader in the field of soft ground treatment solutions, landslide prevention and advanced construction materials - became a member of the Executive Committee demonstrates the spirit of international cooperation and knowledge sharing that SACA is aiming for. This is also a strong step forward in bringing high-tech and environmentally friendly solutions from Japan closer to the market and construction projects in Vietnam.
